in my absence from the interwebs, i actually did stuff. i threw myself into making over our two living rooms. the theme? thrift store kitsch, aka, i have no money for a real redecorating job, so i made due with goodwill and ikea.
up first is the new family room, which was previously the Littles’ living room, i.e. it housed ALL the Littles’ toys and a ratty 2nd hand sleeper sofa. and now?
it houses a lot of owls.
ps– YES. that IS wood paneling AND brick walls. we are that rad. or maybe we just don’t own our own house yet and must succumb to the wills and fetishes of our landlord.
i am still not done in there but it’s a good start.
next we needed to put the toys and stuff somewhere, so we moved all 238,345 the books into our front room, giving the Little’s their own playroom and us a new library. holla!
based on j’s comments about the abundance of owls in the other room, i am fairly certain our fancy pants library will remain an owl free zone. how sad, no?
that was how i spent my spring break. how about you? what did you do??

Oooooo!!! Nice! Just happy you didn’t get rid of the sleeper. I need somewhere to rest my head.
I love it! My home decor is owls and decorated in the Early Salvation Army style. Unfortunately, my whole house is the girls’ playroom. Oh well.
